The top of Kett’s loss-on-drying line, built for the materials that defeat ordinary balances:  liquids, pastes, powders, and large particulates. A second, non-contact sensor reads the sample surface directly, so heat-sensitive and volatile samples dry fast without burning. On the proven FD720 platform, including the large 120 g capacity, six drying modes, patented auto-taring, the FD800 handles a demanding mix of materials with primary-method accuracy.

  • Dual temperature control: A chamber thermistor plus a non-contact radiation thermometer that controls to the sample surface up to 250 °C.  This is aggressive heat for speed, eased down as the surface dries.
  • Predictive measuring mode: Compares projected against actual weight change and ends the test once results meet confidence limits resulting in maximum throughput without cutting a reading short.
  • Guaranteed accuracy from a primary method: Loss on drying measures mass loss directly; run to completion, the result is definitive and stands up to scrutiny.
  • Stored profiles and results memory: Ten stored measuring conditions for instant recall across materials, plus on-board memory for 100 results.
